Since the latest Windows update last week I cannot print on any laptop or computer that has updated windows.
I get the following error message
Operation could not be completed (error 0x000003e3)
The i/o operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request
the printer worked fine until the windows update
I just brought a Canon Laser Imageclass mf267dw when I scan a page it takes about 2 minutes to load...
My mf731cdw prints color vertical lines, primarily blu and yellow. I have cleaned the fixing assembly and the ITB. Same.
I have gotten very little use out of this printer in the year I have had it. Early on I printed some CD labels, and the heavy sheets led to problems. Now, EVERYTHING I print comes out with blotchy smears. I am sure that there are some rollers with ink on them, but HOW ON EARTH DO I CLEAN WHATEVER IT IS THAT NEEDS CLEANING?
I have an mf644cdw and continually having quality issues.
an amount of toner wipes off the print and I am continually having to clean the fixing assembly.
I am using canon toner.
How can I fix this or have I bought a lemon?
I had this problem and was about to post it when the solution was discovered:
"Why is my Canon 743CDW not printing properly on legal size paper? It thinks it is printing on letter size no matter how I set the paper size to legal or custom 14x8.5 or 8.5x14 size paper. I thought the software/driver is broken. Can someone from Canon please confirm this? Can any of you Canon people use this printer to print on Legal size paper?
"In my MacBook Pro print dialog box's "Paper Handling" option, there is NO selection for legal size or any other size except for LTR (letter size or 8.5"x11"). The printer only has a Letter size option no matter where I go to look for Legal size. What causes this? The actual printer itself has various sizes available from its menu of controls but I do not see the same sizes in the dropdown list from my laptop.

How the problem was solved:
When a colleague arrived later and I sent him the file I was trying to print on legal size paper, his laptop printed the file without a problem! So we began comparing the print settings on each other's laptop. The culprit was the setting for the Canon printer driver when it was first added to my laptop. By default, it was set to 'Auto Select', 'AirPrint', 'Secure Airprint'. One has to drill down into the "Use" values and locate a different option and to set it to Cannon MF741C/743C'. The Canon setting was hiding in the drop down box that I did not bother to investigate because I thought it's all default stuff I did not need to look into. After having set this value, all the available sizes other than LTR (letter size) finally showed up in my Print dialog box. Had I not discovered this problem early on, I would have continued to have the Canon printer's all paper sizes missing (except for LTR) in the Print dialog box's selection.
The top and bottom of the pages gets cut off when I scan. Can't seem to find anything in the troubleshooting guide. Happens when I use the feeder or the glass.
I received an MF733Cdw 1 year ago as a warranty replacement for n MF726Cdw that started having problems. The MF733Cdw worked great for about a year, then started printing horizontal streaks on everything. These streak are exactly the same and appear every 7/8". I've tried cleaning the fixing assembly and cleaning the transfer belt. Doing that reduces the streaking (not complete gone) for a couple of pages, but then it's back again. It is present on both black and white and color printouts. Awful. I imagine there is some part that needs to be replaced but I can't find any info on which part would cause a repeating streak every 7/8". Can someone here help me out?
This may be a dumb question but I am perplexed. I want to scan a multi-page document from the feeder but on occassion need to feed the pages one at a time, not as a stack pre-loaded in feeder. How do I set the scanner to wait for each page that is manually fed into the feeder, click "scan next" and let me click "finished" when I'm truly done? I can do this from the platen but not with the feeder. What it current does is as soon as it detects an empty feeder, it assumes I'm done and completes the job.

When using document feeder or glass, it tructaes top and bottom of page during scan.
I am downloading updated firmware right now but suspect that the settings in scangear might need to be adjusted?
Hello, and any help would be great, I have a Lenovo laptop and can't get the wireless so gave up and bought a USB cable and still won't connect. It will copy. Customer service is only open while I'm at work and don't have access to my laptop and printer so right now that is not an option.
I've reinstalled the driver and made sure that the print spooler is turned on. I'm usually the go-to guy for computers so this is got me thinking my printer is DOA.
Hi guys, I got a brand new Canon monochrome laser MF269dw. Printing text, no problem with different fonts and sizes. When I print photos I notice there are horizontal streaks so I did more test. I printed some pure color page red/blue/yellow. Because this is a monochrome printer, it transfers them to gray pages. Then the streaks become very obvious, please see attached. So I was wondering what is the cause of this? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for your help in advance.
while printing on Canon ImageClass MF 8580 Cdw we receive the message : error: No A4 paper. we request to print on regular letter size paper...it seems the printer receives wrong request from our computer ...it s a new installation using an Apple extreme router and a windows 7 laptop....we have to go to the printer and change the paper from A4 to regular...something is wrong with the installation of the MF 8580...it prints well from the net...
We have a Canon ImageCLASS 8580cdw on Surface GO mini-portable device. The printer will install but the installation fails at the scanner portion. Any ideas?
I'm trying to setup scan to network folder on an Oce PlotWave 345.
Per the manual I've done everything correctly, except I get errors when saving the external locations. The type is SMB of course since the scans are going to a shared folder on a Windows server.
The format of the path is \\servername\sharename. I've tried various usernames and their password but all give the same error so I'm sure it's not a credential issue.
The error I'm getting is that the hostname can't be resolved. The server where the scan share is located is on the DNS server and the plotter's network settings use the DNS server's IP as the DNS server. So I don't see why the hostname can't be resolved.
If I bypass DNS and enter \\ipaddress\sharename, then I get an error that says the remote destination can't be tested because the remote destination has reached the maximum number of connections.
This error has me stumped. There are several shared folders on the server and people are connecting to it all day long with no problem. I rebooted the server just in case something in memory or a cache needed clearing but that didn't help.
Has anyone here run into this before? If so, how did you resolve it?

We have several printers (IR-ADV C250, IR-ADV C2220, MF8500C) that have scan to mail setup using a office365 account.
problem -> the mails are sent out with TLS 1.0 encryption. As MS will drop TLS1.0 support soon we would like to change to TLS1.2 which is required.
i just dont have the option "use tls for smtp tx" as per manuals, only "use ssl". various other models of Canon MFP we use have this TLS option in the settings.
how can i get TLS support on those models? did not really find any firmware updates etc., are they too old?

I'm unable to download the Mac software I need for my new Canon D1620. I've tried from the mac, from a pc..in chrome, safari, edge...no luck. I also turned my firewall off and still no luck. After I click download I get an error message on each and every browser.

we have the C3530i Printer with the Canon Generic Plus PCL6 drivers installed on a Print Server (Win 2019).
If i use the shared printer on a client, i can go in the options and select Paper Source Drawer 3 instead of Auto, but when i print, that selection is ignored and the paper is still fed from Drawer 1. Am I missing something?

I am running Windows 10 - build 18362 x64 system with a new D570 printer. We print with it just fine wirelessly.
On 2 PC's we get this error message on both PC's when trying to scan. We've downloaded the utility drivers several times on both PC's. Main reason we got this printer was for scanning docs and we've never had this much issues with other brands. Any advice or help? Thanks
