Printer will print but gets stuck loading after scanning one page

Hello,

 

I have an imageclass MF624cw. I'm not having any trouble printing from my Macbook Pro 2017. When I try to scan using the feeder, one page is fed through, the second page gets stuck halfway. On my computer, I see a "Scanning document 'scan' Page #1" message indefinitely. This message never goes away, the second page never gets fed through, and the scan never completes. 

 

This same issue arises if I try to scan from the tray instead of the feeder. I haven't been able to successfully scan a single page!

 

I've updated the printer's firmware. The scan function was working two weeks ago... no settings were changed. I tried deleting the printer from my computer and reconnecting it again.

I have followed the instructions on my printer for the jam, can only pull bits of paper from the front and no access from the back.  HELP!

Hi,

 

I bought a new computer to get out of the Windows 7 antique I was using.

 

I have lost the software to the printer above. I have gone to the Canon driver update site but the downloads do not work on my computer.

 

I hate to throw a perfectly great all in one printer away becasue of a cd...can anyone advise.

i-Sensys MF446Cx and "check that the paper size..." notification

Good day.
Got a new MFD Canon i-Sensys MF446Cx. Great and fast device.
But when I'm load paper into drawer I always got message on screen:
"check that the paper size and type settings for the drawer are correct before performing the job"
and only one button "OK"

And there is my paper settings from the web-console:

Also I confirm that use usual white office paper 80 gr/m2 and rails into drawer are configured for A4 format.

Looks this is only cosmetic notification, it's allow to print, but in any cases I'd like to know what is it.

 

So my questions is very simple - what is the reason of this notification and how to remove it?

Runtime Error scanning wtih Cpature perfect 3.0 on window 10

We've had to upgrade our PC's to windows 10 since 7 will no longer be supported as of January 1,2020.  Now when we use the scan perfect 3.0 we get runtime error. scanner we are using is a Canon DR-G2110.  Is there a fix for ths?

LBP622C/623C Paper Selection

I'm having an issue with my LBP622C/623C which I can't seem to figure out.  I have US Letter paper loaded in the paper tray (the one that slides out)  and the display shows both correct size and that its loaded with paper.  Every time I go to print a letter sized document the printer says "No Paper LTR: Plain 1" (see image).  I have to select 1 (which is the paper drawer) and then it works fine.  I have looked through all of the settings and can't find which one needs to be changed.  I've even disabled the multipurose tray and it still does it.IMG_6234.jpg

MF 4270 Lightning Strike of ethernet

My network was hit with a direct lightning strike.  All switches, television, even the UPS was knocked out.  The printer will turn on, cycle, then all buttons on the front (copy, fax, and scan) light up and nothing else happens.  I've tried pushing all the buttons in all kinds of sequences but nothing changes.  These actions occur whether connected via ethernet or not connected to any network. Could there be a fuse somewhere or maybe a reset button that could bring the printer back?  Thanks.

Scan to Email never sends

My Canon MF267dw cannot scan to email. Here is what I've done based on scattered conversations and tutorials across the web.

 

I logged into the remote UI as a system admin
I set the port number to (587)

It's SMTP Server connects to smtp.gmail.com

I added my email address and password in E-Mail Settings*

I enabled TLS for SMTP

 

The printer behaves exactly how it did before I changed anything. After choosing the destination E-Mail, I can click Start to scan. Then the only options I have are: Start again, to scan another page; cancel to leave; and a button that says "Start TX." This mysterious button is not mentioned in any videos or forum posts I've found. When pressed it prints page with a timestamp and summary, says 0 sheets were scanned, and under Error it says 1.

 

There is no button that says "Done," and no indication of any kind about whether it sent something or tried to and failed.

 

*This part was different than every tutorial I've found. I think the UI has been reorganized, or subtly differs from model to model. Other people found these settings under E-Mail/I-Fax Settings, or TX Settings, neither of which appear on my remote UI

MF264dw whining noise in energy saver mode

I just received an MF264dw and am having an issue where I hear a high pitched whining noise while the printer is in Energy Save mode. As soon as I wake the printer up or turn power off to the printer the noise goes away. Has any one had this issue/is there a way to fix it so there isnt' a whining noise in energy saver mode? I've tried to just disable energy save mode but it doesn't seem like that's possible.

CANON LBP6780DN GOOGLE MAPS PRINT TERRIBLE QUALITY

Can someone help me set this printer up such that it prints the maps well?

I got a CANON LBP6780DN. The printer is good. It prints everything except the google maps. 

The maps printout is simply illegible.

It prints, you can tell that it printed a map, but somehow the letters within the map are not clear, can't read the names and can't figure the shape of the streets. 

 

It always printed like this since I bought it new.

The bottom of the map has a sentence "Map data ©2019 500 ft " and that prints sharp and clear with no problems.

My MF743CDW Printer will not select the correct paper tray/Multi function tray when printing envelop

My previous ImageCLASS printer 833 could distinguish between an envelope and a letter. Now I have a MF743CDW imageCLASS. It cannot do the same. It is printing letters on envelopes. It will not select the envelopes when the MF tray is selected. How do I fix the problem?

Hi, 

 

My printer is not working, I've been reviewing for possible causes but I'm not exactly sure of what it can be. So I'm going to list the stuff that I consider critical that could be avoiding the proper functioning of the printer. 

 

1) Drivers for printers and Fax are working, as stated here on this snapshot of the devices available for printing inside Microsoft Word:

Yet, when I send for printing, nothing comes out of it. 

 

2) Printer screen is not working properly. It stays "lit", but it doesn't show anything. I'm not sure if this is entirely necessary for operating just the printer functionality of the device. Perhaps it is but I'm not sure (sorry, I'm super sure this is a dumb question). 

 

3) Could it be an issue of Toner? Or not properly putting the paper for printing? Does the printer sends any "Alarm" or message to the user, in any form, that could help us know what this is?

imageCLASS d550 copies too light

When I replace the cartridge, the printer both prints and copies to my satisfaction. However, after a short while the printing is still fine but the copies are extremely light. The only temporary fix I have found is to install a new cartridge, but it only lasts but so long. How do I permanently fix the copying function to have my copies be dark again?

 

For reference, I am using a Dell computer running Windows 10 and the imageCLASS d550 printer using the 128 cartridge. 

I have been on hold for at least 20 minutes and the automated message says it will take at least another hour.

MF634CDw printing color bands

I replaced my cyan toner, and the second cartridge only gave me an occasional narrow cyan band. I replaced it with another new cartridge, and it didn't work at all. I tried going back to the old cartridge (it had a little left in it), and now all I get are alternating bands of color (wide, none, narrow, none) from the cyan. Support has a 45+ minute wait on the phone, and I need help to get something printed!

Cannot setup the network destination folder for scanner

Hi,

I bought a Maxify MB2150. I configured the printer for my computer via wireless. It works, I can print and setup the printer, but I cannot set a network folder as destination for the scanner.

I installed the canon utility toolbox, follow the instruction, but the software show me the error "the printer not available. Please verify is connected" (I roughly translate the error from the italian version of the software).
I try to disable firewall and the anti-malware. Nothing change.

My computer use
Windows 10 Professional
I try to set up a folder scan on the computer itself and on a Rasperry Pi 3 I have.

Can you help me?

Canon 424 Laser printer smears labels

I had an older Canon laser printer and never had this issue. The 424 smears labels, and there are dropouts. The toner does not fix properly, and can be smeared off.

 

Tried cleaning the fuser. That helped, a little. I used to be able to use small Avery mailing labels (5 to a sheet, 2 5/8 x 1) and feed them in the manual feed. I also use full-size sheets to generate mailing labels. 

 

This printer is newer, less than a year, and won't print labels properly. What am I doing wrong, or is this just not supported with this newer (better?) printer?

 

The labels I use most are Avery 5260 (Laser, white); Avery 5630 (Laser, clear); Avery 15667 (return address Clear, Laser);

and Avery Multi-use 5436 (white, laser/inkjet).

 

This was never a problem with my Canon MF4360.

PLEASE help!

 

i have a canon image class d420, i have been using this printer for years, try to scan and am getting the same error  "cannot start the scaner driver while it is in use by another application or user.

 

I have downloaded the new printer drivers, and restarted my computer multiple times!!!!

 

i have a mac os catalina version 10.15.2

 

PLEASE help, i have to scan documents for work!!!!!

mf634 and linux mint

Hi,

I have an mf634 hooked up to a dell 7720 precision workstation, via usb, in linux mint 19.x and have installed the driver obtained here:

 

linux-UFRII-drv-v500-usen-06.tar.gz.

 

the printer is recognized and activates when giving a print command, but the pages are blank, whether from a test page or an attempt to print something else.

 

no error messages of any kind.

 

just "pretends" to print.

 

any thoughts are much appreciated.
