MF620C - large areas not printing

I'm having issues printing with my MF620C printer. When I print a page, a large swath of the page isn't printing to the paper, leaving a large white area on the page. I have tried cleaning the fixing assembly and ITB from the menu but still have same problem. It happens with all colors so unlikely to be a cartridge problem. Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks!

Canon iR-ADV C3525 Send to email function not working after new routers installed

We recently had our network updated and have new gateways installed. The printer is now on the new network and we are able to print without any issues, but the Send to email function has stopped working.

 

When I try to test the SMTP connection it throws an error. The error suggests that it has to do with the DNS Settings or the SMTP Settings. Since the printer is on a new network, do I need to update the DNS settings on the printer to enable the send to email function to work? If so, what exactly needs to be updated?

Mac won't connect with my Image Class LBP622C

About a month ago, I unpacked and set up my Image Class LBP622C Printer connected to my iMac running High Sierra V 10.13.6.  First time uing it, everything worked fine.   Next time I tried to use it, the Mac couldn;t see the printer, which was hooked up via an Ethernet cable.  I reinstalled the Canon driver and got it to work.  Next time, the Mac didn't see it again.  This time I deleted the driver from the list and re-installed it again.   Couldn't find it anywhere.  Tried again, still no success. 

 

Today, I tried unplugging the cable and connecting wireless.   Mac is connected to the network.  Got the printer recognizing the network and tried adding it to by printer list again.  Still no success.  Read through troubleshooting stuff and then tried connecting through the IP protocol.  The Mac recognized the protocol and added the printer to the list, but when I tried to print something, it's still not making a connection.  (Says "The printer is not responding")  

 

It's been over a month and I can't print anything!   Can someone help or tell me how to contact someone who can?

Maxify MB2330 Not Printing at All

I have had the MB2320 for about 3-4 years and it has worked pretty consistently until recently.  Now it doesn't seem to be pulling paper from either paper cassettes.  Whenever I attempt to print from anything (my phone, work laptop, iMac, etc) the printer starts acting like it's going to print (it sounds like it's printing) but it only spins its wheels and no paper gets pulled from a cassette.  Everytime it happens I get the same error message.  It says:

Support Code  5207

 

Printer Error has occured.

Follow the Steps Below.

 

1. Cancel printing, then turn the device off

2. Turn the device on again.

 

I've done that about 20 times now to no avail.  I reset the settings and same thing.  Any suggestions?  I need to get this working for my kids school work as they are going to school remotely for the semester and I really don't want to buy a new printer.  Thanks in advance!!!

I mistakenly put this under the 'office printer' category when it should go here...  [Canon MAXIFY models are classified as office printers, so we moved it back.]

Got hooked up wireless with no problem.  Great printer,scanner etc.  But there must be a way to fax wireless.  I got a message saying I need to set up UI.  That sends fax through email.  Anyone know how to do that?


iR1025i don't print through network

Hi all.

 

I ask for help to solve the following problem.

 

I have an iR1025i printer connected to the network. On a Windows 7 32x SP1 computer I installed the printer perfectly using PCL6.

 

When I print the test page everything seems to work fine on the computer however the printer does not print anything. It makes the sound like it's going to pull the sheet, but it doesn't do anything else.

 

Where is the problem?

MF264dw whining sound in energy saver mode

I just purchased a Imageclass MF264dw a couple days ago.

 

When the printer enters energy saver mode it emits a high-pitched electronic vibrating sound from somewhere near the back of the printer. It does not stop emitting this noise while it is in energy saver mode. Exiting energy saver mode stops the noise. All other fuctions work perfectly.

 

I have tried plugging it into serveral different outlets to confirm that is not a grounding issue or noise on that circuit. 

 

I spoke to Canon technical support about the issue. He thought that the issue may be caused by vibrations of a partially defective transformer on the power board.  We thought we had a work-around by placing the computer in quiet mode. Unfortunately, right after I hung up with support, I learned that the energy saver timer overrides quiet mode. 

 

The tech had told me that there is no way to permanently disable energy saver mode on this model. As far as I can tell this is true. I don't really want to go through the hassel of sending this printer back, but I can hear that noise from across the room.

 

Any ideas?

Any way to print a banner on Canon Color Laser printer? Help please!

I have a Canon Imageclass MF624cw. I want to print a banner but it's limited in paper size even if you use manual feed. If I put in a custom size like 8x24 it doesn't work, it gives me a warning message that it won't register the size. Many years ago you could print custom sizes on printers but I'm not having any luck with this printer. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Canon MFC743 LCD Not responsive

Hi: 

 

I have a canon MFC743cdw printer and theLCD touch screen on the printer is not responding. I can see the menu etc but cant select any options. Questions:

1) Is there a way to fix this
2) How can I factory reset the printer or access the full menu remotely via the network. I can access the remote UI in "General User" mode but not in "Syatem admin" mode.  I do not remember changing the system admin password and tried the default "7654321"  but that does not work.

Canon MF 260 keeps saying paper jam but there is no jam

We have a month old Canon MF 260 and after printing one page an error message comes up saying there is a paper jam. However, there is not paper jam anywhere. The only way around this is to turn off the printer, turn it back on, and print page 2. Can someone help me?

Printing Envelopes Problem with mf8580cdw

I have a Canon ImageCLASS mf8580cdw. I am trying to print envelopes but whenever I do, the gummed portions of the envelope always sticks together. Is there something that can be done so that I can print the envelopes without the gummed portions not sealing together?

Combination of Maxify MB5420 and PIXMA PRO-100 drivers causes "filter failed" on PRO-100 print job.

Mods, please note that I will be cross-posting this to the Professioonal Photo Printers forum.

 

There are several Canon printers here; the above mentioned MB5420 and PRO-100 as well as an MF249dw.

 

Conditions:

Mac Mini late 2012, 16GB memory, 500GB SSD, i7, Catalina (updated current as of 9/11/2020)

Canon Maxify MB5420 (Current as of 9/12/2020)

Canon PIXMA PRO-100 (Current as of 9/12/2020)

Canon ImageCLASS MF249dw (Current as of 9/12/2020)

All the above devices are connected via Ethernet, with static mapped IP addresses.

 

Observation:

Driver installations appeared to be completely normal using "Canon Inkjet Network" for the MB5420 and the PRO-100.

When the CUPS print drivers for all the above printers are installed, I am unable to print to the PRO-100.  "Filter failed" error message.  When I remove the drivers for the MB5420, print jobs for the PRO-100 are processed normally.  The presense of the MF249dw driver has no effect on the PRO-100.  The presense of scanner drivers for the MB5420 has no effect on the PRO-100.  Printing to any of these devices from a Windows 10 Pro machine is normal with all drivers installed.

 

Desired endgame:

I would prefer to have the MB5420 available to me as the default printer for everyday use.

 

Ideas?

IR 1022a weird problem.

Hello,

 

 

for some odd reason, our IR Toolbox requires a PC restart every morning in order for the program to work.  

 

We can launch the program, but the moment you choose one of the options (like PDF), the window doesn't pop up and nothing pretty much happens. The only thing we can do is restart the PC and then Toolbox starts working properly. This happens on a daily basis.

 

I've been looking on the internet for solutions without success. If anybody has an idea what to do we would be really grateful.

Sporadic problems with margins on PDFs

Hello,

 

I recently purchased the Canon imageCLASS MF644CDWBN and I have noticed that it occasionally will fail to properly align certain pages within a pdf.  As an example, see the references on this page https://imgur.com/a/CBd0wk3  which are cut off.  I set the option "fit to printable area" when printing.  This seems to only occur on 1-2 pages within a much larger PDF.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?  I never had this issue with my previous laser printer. 

MF644 cdw prints with smudges and inconsistent printing (light and dark) . suggestions how to fix?

have had my MF644 cdw laser printer for about 10 months with little or no issues.  Now i am getting smudge marks on the left side of the print outs both yellow and black smudges.  Also, now the printed letters are both dark and light through out  the page.  Any suggestions on how to return to origional condition that was just fine?

 

I am using windows 10 and am communicating with the printer via wireless connections.
