Condensation message won’t ever stop!

Good Afternoon,

 

This is my first post, If it's been covered somewhere else please let me know.

 

i purchaser used a canon mf741cdw, it looks to be brand new, never used, but their may be a reason for that.

 

everytime the unit turns on I get a "control condensation" message and it wants to vent for 2 hours, it has never printed for me and everytime I try and print it just displays the message again and tries to vent for another two hours.

 

the printer is in a low humidity, air condition environment and has been that way for over a week. 

Is what do I need to do to fix this... please help!

 


Imageclass MF743cdw scan works randomly Error code #801

Hello,

 

I have an Imageclass MF743cdw that is hardwired to the network.  I have it setup to scan to file (folders) on a couple different PCs.  Sometimes it works other times not.  When it fails I get an error code #801 in the log files.  I cannot seem to find any info on this error code.

 

On the PCs I have SMB installed.  I have both the PC and printer running just IPV4.

 

Sometimes it just sits there Sending...................................................................................................

 

Scan to USB does the same thing from time to time...

Getting support code 5200 on my MAXIFY MB2720. Tried reset a couple time, error keeps occurring. Is there anything that can be done?

MF634cdw - Faded printing - unable to reach Canon support

I have a Imageclass MF634cdw.  It has begun producing faded prints.  I ran the "RDC faint print" and cleaning functions from the menu without success.  I have called the support line 12 times and the automated system won't recognize my model number.  I tried the email support ticket and it gives an error message telling me to call.

 

I need help and cannot manage to get any.  Ideas?

We bought 5 printers for our company and 1 of them is having this problem, we send something to print and the printer just beeps and dont print nothing or send any error, we try over ethernet and usb, its the same in either cases, if you scan something it doesnt have any problem. We already update the firmware and the correct drivers are installed, we are using Win10. 

 

Can someone assist us with this issue

Image Class MF8280Cw printing 1/4" thick black lines

Image Class MF8280Cw has started printing 1/4" thick black lines horizontally across the page.  It seems to be a random number of lines with smudge lines in between.  Machine is also getting noisy and spends a long time cleaning itself after the first page.  Have no idea what to do.

Black is too light and colors streaky - MF644Cdw

Black text and imiages are printing in a medium gray, and colors are uneven and blotchy. This new behavior started after a router issue forced me to re-initialize the printer. Prior to that, printing was fine.

 

Following some procedures I found in other threads, here is what I've tried so far, and what the results were:

 

  1. Clean Fixing Assembly - This seemed to execute properly but the printing issues were not resolved.
  2. Correct Print Color Mismatch - After churning for a mnute or two I got this message: Could not perform correction.
  3. Auto Adjust Gradation - Full Adjust -  After churning for a mnute or two I got this message: Could not perform correction.
    (Never proceeded to subsequent sub-steps, since nothing printed out.)

What could have happened during the printer initialization to cause all the settings to be so maladjusted? How can I fix this now?

 

Note that I am currently using GPC Image toner cartridges, which have worked just fine.

 

Any guidance would be most appreciated.

Folding letters does not work on 5550i

Hi,

 

 

we own a Canon 5550i. I just want to have a sheet of paper to be folder in the middle. According to my colleague this function is available. We use the "uniflow universal driver" on our print server for all Canon printers. Anyone an idea, what and where I do need to configure the correct settings, so papaer comes out folded?

Hi all! So I have had this printer for over a year and have loved it! But I recently got a paper jam. I opened the back to remove it, but it ripped and a piece remained within. I had to take pliers and kinda pry out the torn pieces. Once the jam was removed, I tried printing again, and everything jams halfway through. I went back into the back and noticed a small piece was loose in the feeder area. It is small and black with a tiny metal filament to it and a white, roller looking piece on it. It’s not out and I’m keeping it in a plastic bag so as to not lose it. It’s just short of 2 inches in length(4.6cm). If anyone can tell me how to reinstall this tiny piece and to get my printer running jam-free again, I would greatly appreciate it!!

MF264DW No double sided to double sided copying setting

I just purchased an MF264DW printer. I have set it up to communicate with my router using a wired connection to be able to give commands with my iPhone. However, for copying specifically I can only use the controls on the printer itself. I'm trying to copy a double-sided page to a double-sided page but the only setting that appears in the copying setting menu is '1-> 2-sided'. I obviously want 2 -> 2-sided. I should see a '2 -> 2-sided' setting in the menu per the Canon manual but I don't. What am I doing wrong?

I recently bought a Canon imageClass MF741Cdw and did the driver and software installation via provided CD  my Windows 10 (x64) installation and I attempted a test print from a word processor and an image and I couldn't get anything to print.

 

I checked the connection of the USB cable, I updated the drivers to the most recent recommended version for the MF741Cdw from the Canon website (MF741CMFDriverV6403W64.exe), I have even tried to do a driver install via Windows 10 itself and no matter what driver I used I have no printout.

 

I hope I didn't buy a lemon because I don't have the box or anything because this is the first time I've ever had a driver issue with a Canon before.

Can anyone help me? I would definitely appreciate it.

 

**Update**: It turns out that in some instances of a Windows 10 installations (Professioanl or Home versions) you may have Windows instantly installing a generic driver for a printer that you have connected and turned on to the installation before you have even installed the drivers (it's why the manual said to not connect and turn on the printer to the computer until you have installed the drivers and are instruced by the prompts of the included CD to **then** connect and turn your printer to your Windows PC). A case of not paying attention to the literature on my part.

 

But let's say that you followed instructions and it **still didn't work**
Now normally when you insert a CD to a PC with Windows 10 you have the usual prompts, the installation follows up automatically with a configuration setup within Windows in the background, so your Canon printer is ready to work. But in the case of my instance, that didn't quite happen so, with the big help from Customer Service/ Tech Support, I found out that what you have to do the following:

1. Go to the start menu

2. Type "Control panel" in the search

3. Select "Hardware and Sound"

4. Select "Devices and Printers"

5. Under the "Printers" sub-group, right-click over "Canon MF741C/743C UFR II" and select "Printer Properties"

6. In the "Canon MF741C/743C UFR II Properties"  window, select the "Adavnced" tab

7. In the "Advanced" tab menu, in the "Driver: " field, select in the drop down menu "Canon Generic Plus UFR II V200"

8. Select "Apply"

 

And that should work in having you get ready to start using your Canon ImageClass MF741Cdw printer. ( ゚ⅴ゚)y-~~

 

I would like to, once again, thank Customer Service for helping me out over the phone. The wait time was around 36 min but it was worth it.

What does this message mean and why don't the functions work?

I get this message after running either of these functions:

 

Correct Print Color Mismatch

Auto Adjust Gradation

 

What is preventing these functions from working? (Does it simply mean there is nothing to correct?)

How can I fix the problem?

 

 

ImageClass MF4350d Can't Print Single-sided MacOS Catalina

I recently switched over from Windows to an iMac running Catalina MacOS 10.15.6.  I had no problem installing the drivers.  My only issue is that I want to make one-sided printing the default on all my programs/apps.  I don't want to have to go into Settings every time I go to print something and change it.  How do I do that?

had to reinstall w10pro64 fully updated on two laptops, and cannot get the driver installer to find the printer.

 

static ip

even had the laptop hardwired via a netgear 8pt gig switch with only the printer.

no security sofware installed.

windows defender and firewall disabled, any any allow rules, all apps allow rules, ....

one laptop is dell, other hp.

had issues with original install, and forget what i did to get to work.

many other computers are using the printer still.

can goto printer's web interface via browser, shows up in network browser.

can manually map tcp port 9100 raw with windows default driver and prints.

talked to support and she said, sorry cannot help. no idea.

currently call in support system does not understand the word "imageclass" as a model.

original cd, newest driver from canon, run from root of drive c, ....

all installs and works fine via usb (but what good is that?)

did the UNISTAL.exe

did apps, uninstall

toner,  consumables "app" talks to the printer.

scanner app, driver says no driver installed or associated.

at a total loss.  search and tried any "trick" or "tip" i could find, all no good.

old it guy.... home network is: 2 WS-C3750E-48PD stacks with 20gb fiber trunk, and tplink ac1900 routers.

Disabling i-fax on Canon iR-ADV C3530 III

Hi there

 

My client is being bombarded by spam i-faxes, which are constantly being printed out and it is forcing them to remove the paper from the trays whenever they don't need to print.

 

My guess is that the function is being exploited through SMTP RX which is enabled so they're able to scan to email, this is set to relay through 365 so no authentication is set.

 

This brings me to the question of, is there a setting that allows me to disable i-fax completely? The closest thing I have found is a i-fax related setting called memory lock which I have enabled hoping that the i-faxes will come in but not print unless the end user specifies.

 

Any help regarding this would be much appreciated

macbook pro wont recognize imageclass driver

I recently got a used imageclass MF632.  I am trying to use it on my Macbook Pro running Yosemite.  (10.10.5)

I have downloaded and installed the driver umpteen times,  but the print dialogue box does not sho any printer, Preferences does not show a printer, and Add a printer in preferences does not recognize that I hvae installed the driver yet, either.  in otherwords,  the computer thinks there is no priter driver installed at all.

what do I do. the only work around Ive been able to do, is that my ipad recognizes the pritner,  so I vahe to upload my files to the cloud and them pritn them from the the ipad,  but this is too inconvenient. and I should be able to print directly from the macbook pro.

why can't i? why wont the comuter recognize the driver?

Hello all,

 

I have been printing art prints, stickers, etc, on my Pixma TS8320 and noticed a bit of a smudge or a bleed, specifically using cyan or magenta inks and on the right side of the print (as it comes from the printer).

 

I recently decided to up my paper game, with a professional grade archival paper and the issue seems to be getting worse. It also happens on glossy paper (Canon Glossy II), sticker paper and card stock. Each time, I am selecting the correct paper type and I have the prevent abrasion setting on. This does not happen with plain paper, but does always happen regardless of the ink level on all thicker papers (to the same extent). All paper is being fed from the rear tray.

I have run all the cleaning and maintenance options available.

 

Any help or suggestions would be amazing as this is seriously impacting my business.
