Add dropbox as a destination to scanner Maxify 2720

My options to save to are documents or pictures, and I want to save to various folders in dropbox. I need help in learning how to do that. Thank you!


SLOW print and NO print on Canon imageRunner ADV C5250

We have one windows 10 machine which is have a VERY difficult time printing to the imageRunner c5250.

mainly LARGE pdf's will NEVER print. 

a one page publisher file took 10 minutes. 

and small word docs or pdf of text worked ok. but SLOW.

 

Just on one machine running windows 10 (all latest patches)

The PS and PCL drivers did not work, only the UDF II worked. 

So all the latest drivers were installed, Adobe acrobat dc pro was uninstalled, cleaned and re-installed. still no luck. 

 

this is the only machine with the issue, other computers windows 7 and 10 appear to work fine. 

 

What else can I try to get this power user working with this printer??

Canon MB5460 keeps going offline

As per the title my MB5460 has been a PIA since we bought it. I set it up and everything was fine but everytime we go to use it has gone offline. Sometimes turning it off/on fixes this, sometimes just touching a few buttons on the prrinter fixes it. sometimes the trouble shooter on windows 10 fixes. Nothing is consistant and it is very annoying.

 

Printer is conected via a wired LAN to a Windows 10 computer. Trying to print from a Windows 10 laptop wirelessly has the same issue as does trying to print from either the laptop, phone or chromebook via a web service. 

 

I have tried;

restaring the printer, the router and the PC

ensuring that the CNBJNP port is selected (this just caused an error)

unistalling and reinstalling the drivers

ensuring that all power saving options are off

ensuring that all scheduling thiings are off

ensuring that the LAN is enabled via the printer's menus

 

Baiscally after some screwing around I can usually get it to print, but leave it for a day and it has gone offline again for no apparent reason.

 

What is going on here?

iMac OS Sierra connected to MF644cdw multi-function laser printer via USB cable.  The only way I can get the printer to work is to shut down and restart the computer.  Otherwise the dialogue box says "waiting for printer to become available" forever.  I have re-installed the drivers and reset the printing system, but there's still some kind of miscommunication going on.  I shouldn't have to re-start the computer before every print job.

i have a canon mf8280cw that has very few pages on it. less then 400 total. i have had it a few years i think. the problem i am having is the print is not solid or dark. some times you can not even see black and white print. the problem is on both black and white and color. a lot of smoke and other air born particles have most likely gotten in to this printer. i would like to remove the toner cartridge holder and clean the laser glass to see if that helps. i have pulled the toner holder out but do not see a easy was to pull it out completely. thanks.

Canon imageclass mf424dw printer smudging

I have a relatively new Canon Imageclass mf424dw printer that has just started to smudge the paper when I print.  It does it on regular paper and on cardstock, both through the multi-purpose tray and the drawer.  I ran the "Clean Fixing Assembly" and "Clean Feeder" functions, but it is still doing it.  I am using the cartridge that came with the printer.

 

Since Canon (frustratingly) only offers telephone support for printers (and only on weekdays), I would really appreciate it if anyone has any advice.  This shouldn't be a problem with a new printer.  I'm halfway tempted to return it, but would rather just get it working.

I just recently bought a new imageclass mf642cdw printer. It worked great for the first few days, then after that it started leaving impressed roller lines down my pages. I've run all the cleaning cycles on the printer system.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have had nothing but problems with this printer.  Every single time I have not used it in several days, I have to contact support for some non sense work-around to get it to work.  I am running TWO Macs 10.13.6. 

 

The first thing was we had to change it to a static IP address becuase if you left the house and came back with your computer, it would not print.  Did this with canon support.  Worked for a bit, but then i would have to reset and reinstall drivers on static IP to get it to work EVERYTIME.

 

Now I get the "Filter Error" ALL THE TIME!  Canon support tells me the PDF is corrupt.  Really?  Then why can I send that PDF to any other computer/Printer and it will print?  Including off my phone.

 

Today i try and print anything.  A web page, PDF, word, ANYTHING I one of two things happen.

 

1.  I get the "Filter Error" 

2.  The printer beeps that it recieved the job, it shows up on the LCD, but never prints it.

 

I deleted the old printer/drivers and installed the new one as of 8/20/19 today.

 

no change, does not work.  Adding the normal way, or setting up as a static IP

 

My  other Mac that still had old drivers and static IP will not print either.

 

I purchased this pritner 4/2/19 and have had nothing but issues.  had an old MG6120 that worked all the time.

 

I would like DETAILED instructions what this issue is, and how to correct.  If not, a PRODUCT WITH MINIMAL ISSUES.  

 

Completely at my whits end with this thing.

I've got my printer hooked up through my network, and printing on it in this way works just fine.  I've been having issues with scanning though.  I downloaded the drivers, the USB scan driver update, the MF Toolbox, installing and rebooting (all done today), and when I try to scan, I get this message: http://prntscr.com/p0znb8

 

Just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.  I've already got it set to run as the administrator, and I installed it as a network printer.

Hello,

 

Ever since the latest Windows 10 update I've been receiving the following message (code 155,0,0):

The printer is being used via our network (not plugged in via USB).

 

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have already updated to the new drivers.

MF643Cdw scanner is not working via Wifi on Mac

Hi,

 

Just bought this machine.

Followed the instruction and when start testing everything:

Printer is working via USB and Wifi.

Scaner is working via USB but is not working via wifi. When using MF Scan Utility, I can see only Canon MF643 USB and when trying to scan without cable I receive Pop Up " Cannot communicate with any of the scanners. The scanners may not be connected, or may be turned off.". Also you cannot find scanner in Printers and Scanner. Only Printer.

 

My Mac OS is Mojave 10.14.6

 

How to fix it?

extra part for mf644 printer

In the box is a plastic cover (?) part that is 14" long and 3" wide. It is not on the list of What's Included and I can't see it in the manual. It appears to be something to snap onto my printer on the outside.

Any ideas?

D1620 not printing from manual tray automatically

I'm having trouble printing using the manual print tray by default with this printer. With my old ImageClass 4890dw, the printer would print automatically from the manual tray if there is paper inserted at the tray. The D1620 does not do that. It does not print automatically from the manual tray if there is paper inserted. I have to go to printer setting each time to change the paper source in order to print from the manual tray. Am I doing something wrong here?

Scan and Send to file stopped working IR2020

I've had this machine for years, now about a month ago the Scan and send to my computer no longer works.  I have not changed anything.  Did a Windows update do something to this? The display says "scanning", then "sending" then "resending" then "no response".  I have 3 computers on my network, and it is the same with all of them.  I have a Canon Imagerunner IR-ADV C2020.  Scan to email works fine.  Any ideas?

Have been trying everything - upgraded drivers/software, nothing seems to work.

 

Can't seem to scan directly to drive, or to email/fax. It just spins and eventually prints an error report, or just prompts an error.

 

Wireless printing is about the only thing working. Only scanning i can do it to a USB drive.

 

Any help appreciated.

unable to scan to computer or to email. updated software and drivers, no luck. Only scanning that works is to USB Drive.
Never worked - just stopped trying.

Connection via USB (direct and no network)

 

After hibernation or a cold start, if I try to scan, the keypad message reads, “Connect the computer.” If I Restart (not shutdown and start) my pc, the connection gets restored and I can scan.

 

While scanner was disconnected, I’ve gone to the Canon MF Scan Utility and tried activating the scanner through the app. I get a message, “Canon MF Scan Utility has stopped. A problem…” If I try to print a document from the pc when the scan problem exists, there are no issues.

 

I’ve tried all the power setting suggestions for the USB ports and all the suggestions to keep the port from powering saving when not in use etc. I’ve uninstalled and installed the drivers per Canon following the disconnect/connect suggestions of the cable during the download and uploading.  I've spent a LOT of time waiting on the customer help line waiting to speak to someone.  I spoke to them once and the issue was not resolved.

 

The printer is two weeks new to me and already ready to take it back.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

new MX922 error 1008 when loading MP-101 paper

New MX922 printer trying to load MP-101 paper for alignment . I have the right tray . It fits fine but I continually get support 1008 codes that there is no paper in the printer . It is loaded correctly as far as I can tell

Printer:  MF731cdw

OS: Windows 10 (because the print quality from my Mac is horrible and I gave up trying to fix it)

Drivers: Latest drivers from Canon website

Firmware: Latest from Canon website, dated 3-7-19

 

Initial Problem:

My prints started coming out faded down the entire left side of the sheet.  So I decided to start with running some of the maintenance options.

 

- Auto Adjust Gradation, both Full and Quick, sound like they are running but a few seconds later I get the error “Could not perform correction”.  Adjust Copy Image displays the error immediately.

- Correct Print Color Mismatch - Works.

 

- Clean Fixing Assembly (Rdc Back Side Staining) - Error “Could not perform cleaning” immediately displayed.

- Clean Fixing Assembly - Error “Could not perform cleaning” immediately displayed.

- Clean the ITB - Works

- Clean the Feeder - Works

 

 The black toner is almost brand new, but the color toners were all at the ‘Prepare new toner’ stage, so I replaced all the color toner with genuine Canon toner.  Now it’s worse and I still can’t run any of the maintenance and cleaning jobs listed above.  I know it’s recognizing the new toner because they are showing up correctly (mostly) in the portal.  The blue and pink are at 100%, but yellow is at 90%.  No idea how I could have used 10% of the yellow toner since I put it in. 

 

I just don’t know what to do at this point.  Now the print quality is not usable and I can’t run many of the jobs that I assume would correct the problems?  I’ve had this printer for about a year and a half and am sure I have spent more time trying to fix this printer than I have actually getting good quality prints. I’ve been in the tech industry for over 20 years and have never seen a printer that was so hard to work with.
